Who doesn’t love cake and who doesn’t love cocktails? They’re two of life’s very greatest pleasures, so it was really only a matter of time before they were combined to make one powerhouse of a dessert cocktail, perfect for a tasty treat after supper.
Check out this caramel cheesecake martini on the Happy Food Healthy Life blog, which looks amazing and would be a delicious way to end your evening meal. You’ll need both vodka and caramel vodka, as well as vanilla almond milk, some biscuits, caramel sauce and some agave. Sounds incredible!
Or what about doing it the other way round and having a cocktail in your cake? Olive magazine has a gin and tonic traybake square recipe that has six tablespoons of gin in it! Why not whip up a batch and enjoy with a real G&T in the garden in the sunshine, since we’re about to have a bit of a heatwave!
And if you want to really up the ante and wake up with something of a headache the next day, keep the party going with these birthday cake shots, made from vodka and either Baileys or a white chocolate liqueur. The shot glasses are rimmed with sprinkles for some extra pizzazz!
